Sap, lime and salt — the Suffolk three
Bird droppings are acidic and start etching lacquer within a day in warm weather; tree sap hardens and bonds. Both get softened and lifted first, before any mitt touches the panel — dragging a mitt over dried lime is how you get a permanent mark. Every car here is washed by hand using the two-bucket method — one bucket of pH-neutral shampoo, one of clean rinse water with a grit guard — with wheels cleaned first using separate brushes and mitts so nothing off the road ever goes back onto the paint.
Winter salt and the underside
Salt from gritted rural roads collects in wheel arches, along the sills and behind the bumper corners. Those are the areas most likely to start corroding on an older Golf or Passat, so a proper rinse of the arches is part of every wash here, not an extra.
Interiors on family VWs
Cloth seats respond well to a thorough vacuum and, where needed, a seat shampoo as part of the Super Valet. Child seat bases hide an astonishing amount of crumbs and grit, so we lift them where it is safe to do so and clean underneath, then put them back where they were.
Which package suits a VW

Can you get pet hair out of a Tiguan boot?+
Usually yes. Rubber-edged tools and a proper vacuum lift most of it. Deeply woven hair may need extra time, which we will quote before starting.
Do I need to book a Golf in?+
No. Wash and Wash & Dry are drive-in. Full valets are best booked so we can set the time aside.
